And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
It is Jesus' fault that we have hope: and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us (Romans 5:5).
He is the one who came and saved us in our state as His weak enemies: For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6).
It is His responsibility to finish what He started in you and me. It is also His desire and glory as your Husband and Lover to be faithful to you. We are not a drain on our Lord. We are His prized possessions. He longs for you and me.
As we stagger and stumble to walk where He leads, I have been lifting up the following, terrifying prayer (first for myself, my wife, and then the Church at large which may include you):
May we find NO comfort except in the PERSON OF CHRIST, His finished work and His promises...which is only effective and are only trustworthy because of who He is.
May you find your comfort in Him today...

Why I'm Writing...
Well, I suppose it's the narcissistic thing to do. I have "journaled" on and off since I was in middle school. I have found it hard to journal as of late. Many would not consider my journaling to be a collection of cohesive thoughts. Personal fears and concerns, crazy and/or zealous ramblings about things that may or may not be important to others filled page after page.
After accumulating a sizable volume of hard copy journals (which are now simply taking up space in a cabinet of my dresser) I have decided that it may be more productive and even helpful to others to record these things in a more polished and cohesive manner.
My wife, Ebe, and I have been to hell and back since November 2007. We have lost our 3 babies since then:
Our precious first born, Owen Christopher, was stillborn at 36 weeks. What a beautiful little man he was. Now he is being raised by our loving Lord Jesus.
Our second little one was diagnosed a cornual ectopic pregnancy at 7-8 weeks, 5 months after Owen died.
Our third tiny blessing was miscarried at 6.5 weeks, four days after Owen's first birthday.
Within this time we have also decided to apply to seminary. I am convinced of the crazy idea that the Lord is calling me to become an ordained minister of the Gospel.
So...my blog will be cohesive only in the sense that each individual post will make sense. Otherwise, I won't promise to have a consistent theme. My blog may very well become a collection of randomness. Randomness, however, that will not only chronicle what I am learning, struggling with, or believe, but will hopefully encourage you...at least make you think...all the while glorifying and proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
